5 Reasons Hulaween is The Only Place To Be This Halloween
After taking a year off, Suwannee Hulaween is back as the leading choice in entertainment for Halloween weekend.
1. Spirit Lake
Even those who haven’t been to Hulaween have probably heard about the undeniable magic captured at Spirit Lake. Spectacular Halloween-themed art installations grace the grounds at the lake, and captivating neon lights serve as a reminder that the grounds come alive at night. The lake itself features illusory projections floating above the still, silent body of water, welcoming visitors to its all-night performance.
2. The Music
Suwannee Hulaween is famous for hand-picking the most sought-after acts across various music genres to grace their stages each year. This year the festival will host legendary electronic artists like Skrillex, Zeds Dead, and Chris Lake. Some of this year’s most celebrated rising talent such as Mize, Wreckno, Veil, and NotLö will also be in attendance.
In addition to a stacked roster of electronic artists, the Hulaween lineup includes plenty of live bands to soothe our souls. Attendees can look forward to live performances by Greensky Bluegrass, Lettuce, Manic Focus, and others to breathe life into Spirit Lake.
3. The People
It’s Halloween weekend at the spookiest campground in the country; obviously, the creatures will be out to play. Hulaween attendees have become famous for the wild costumes and extravagant makeup they show off throughout the weekend. Not to mention, with this year’s costume theme being the “Monster Mash,” there will be plenty of ghosts and ghouls floating around.
Don’t worry–there’s no pressure to dress up or transform your outfit into a walking art exhibit. There will be plenty of that for you to admire.
4. The Camping
Suwannee Hulaween has various camping options including Primative Camping, ADA Camping, and RV Camping. For the most part, attendees are free to camp in any open space within their designated campground. The festival provides Camp Hosts to help attendees find a suitable location for their car and campsite.
The campgrounds are nestled underneath the gorgeous bald cypress and live oak foliage thriving in the region. Not only do the trees offer a beautiful landscape, but they offer the perfect natural canopy to protect attendees from Florida’s blaring sun during the day. Chilling at the campsites all day before heading into the venue for the music suddenly sounds like a fantastic idea at Hulaween.
5. The Food
Each year Hulaween invites top-tier food vendors to the festival. They have food truck classics like burgers, pizza, and mac n’ cheese, in addition to options for those with dietary restrictions. In fact, vegans and vegetarians will find plenty of yummy food selections to satisfy their bellies all weekend. There are lots of made-to-order options, in addition to quick bites for those who are in a hurry to catch the next set.
See you at Suwannee!
