Rising Talent Shadient Shows off his Versatility with New Two-Tracker – [Listen]
23 year old producer, Shadient, is rising to the forefront of experimental bass music.
Shadient demonstrates his versatility with his two-song release, “Crash/Roadworks”, which vary drastically in sonic style. The London-based artist is showing off the limitless potential that fans can expect to hear from his debut album set to release in the fall.
While the two tracks are completely different, their unique styles compliment each other in a way that makes listeners excited to hear how Shadient will put together a cohesive project. The first track, “Crash”, is an experimental bass track that feels reminiscent of the everpopular hyperpop genre. The track features help on the vocals from fknsyd and Catnapp, which adds a distorted feminine energy that helps round out the song.
The other song released, “Roadworks”, takes a different approach and is a fun, liquid drum ‘n’ bass bouncer. The song also features Shadient’s soothing vocals, which cascade off of the bubbly super beat.
The two tracks are being released alongside a lyric video, made by the multifaceted 23 year old artist which feels reminiscent of the booming Y2K scene. The two track’s juxtaposing sounds highlight the difference between light and dark, illustrating Shadient’s ability to tell a story within his music.
Shadient’s upcoming debut album, ‘Have You No Burden’, is set to release on Slander and NGHTMRE’s Gud Vibrations imprint. While we wait for this release, be sure to listen to Shadient’s newest tracks down below.
