Exron Exclusive Interview: Sippy At Electric Zoo

Hailing all the way from Australia, Sippy is one of the hottest producers in the global bass music scene. She’s already made a name for herself as one of the foremost contributors to Australia’s bass music circuit and has made such an impact in the US that she decided to pick up and move to Los Angeles.

Back in Australia, Sippy held residencies at famous clubs like ChineseLaundry and The World Bar. Impressively, she’s an ICON Collective graduate who has some mind-blowing production talent to show for. This summer, she released a bone-chilling track with Marshmello called “CandyKid,” which is just shy of 1 million streams on Spotify. Another one of her tunes, “Blast Like,” has amassed over 1.5 million streams.

Unsurprisingly, legendary dubstep duo Zeds Dead wasted no time inviting her to their Deadbeats label, where she dropped her three-track EP ‘HYPOGEAL’. Shaking stages across the world, she recently performed an unforgettable set at DeadRocks VII Night 1. This past Labor Day weekend, we got the chance to catch up with Sippy after her Electric Zoo set, where she was part of the Deadbeats takeover at the Hilltop Arena stage.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
