Imagine Festival Cancels Two Days Before Event Due to Weather From Hurricane Nicholas – [BREAKING]

Imagine Joins Multiple East Coast Festivals to Face Cancellations Due to Hurricane Season and Covid.

Just two days before doors were set to open for Imagine 2021, the festival has announced that they will be cancelling the weekend due to Hurricane Nicholas.

Event officials took to Instagram to share the news as thousands prepared for a weekend of music and fun in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Imagine Music Festival 2021 is cancelled due to severe weather. We are devastated to share this news, however, mother nature leaves us no option with the remains of Hurricane Nicholas causing severe weather throughout the region,” they revealed on Instagram.

“Our public safety team, meteorologists, local authorities, and our experienced directors have determined that the potential for severe weather impacting the event site, creating an unacceptable risk of unsafe conditions for guests and staff.”

This was the second year in a row that Imagine has been forced to cancel, after calling off all 2020 operations due to Covid. However, the festival organizers have promised attendees that their tickets will still be valid next year, or they can request a full refund.

This marks just one of many East Coast festivals that have met their demise during 2021 Hurricane season. Bonnaroo was forced to cancel just one day before the event, and Elements in Pennsylvania was branded Fyre Festival 2.0, both due to dangerous conditions caused by Hurricane Ida.

Imagine Festival promises their 2022 return, and festival-goers can only hope that weather and Covid alike will allow this to happen.
