Electric Zoo Solidifies Its Place As NYC’s Biggest Party Yet Again- [Read]
In a proper Labor Day weekend fashion, Electric Zoo certainly outdid itself for its historic return to Randall’s Island.
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since we all gathered on Randall’s Island for New York’s premier electronic music festival. Each year, Made Event’s Electric Zoo introduces a new theme for the weekend, and this time they didn’t hold back with Electric Zoo: Supernaturals.
The sold-out festival hosted various stage takeovers, including Deadbeats, Brownies & Lemonade, and Wakaan. On Friday, Electric Zoo hosted acts such as Crystal Skies, Moore Kismet, and Seven Lions, who undoubtedly delivered one of the most moving sets of the weekend.
Saturday at Electric Zoo was nothing short of a fever dream. Kaskade closed out the Main Stage with a timeless production, Liquid Stranger presented an epic finale for the Wakaan takeover at Riverside, Testpilot delivered a techno death sentence at Hilltop Arena, and Claptone had the crowd dancing non-stop at Sunday School. However, the festival certainly saved the best for last with notable performances on Sunday by Dom Dolla, Destructo, Jantsen, and not to mention a killer show by Illenium to close out the Main Stage.
Aside from bringing headliners that delivered some of the most unforgettable performances of the year, Electric Zoo should be commended for its stacked lineup of food vendors. Grilled cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, burgers… you name it! These folks had it all. Not to mention, they made sure to include a range of vegan and vegetarian options.
Most importantly, Made Event didn’t hold back on the afterparties, either. Electric Zoo brought out headliners such as Fisher, John Summit, Zeds Dead, and Testpilot to keep the crowd going all night. All in all, anyone who spend Labor Day weekend on Randall’s Island will attest that Electric Zoo 2021 was worth the wait.
