NGHTMRE Drops Genre-Bender “MOSH” featuring Smokepurpp -[LISTEN]
Industry leader NGHTMRE is once again showing off his varied skill set with a new hip-hop track featuring Smokepurpp.
If you’ve been in the electronic music scene for very long, you know that NGHTMRE has shown, time and time again his elite ability to produce genre-bending music. He has produced various tracks that combine essential soundscapes of electronic music with genres like hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and more.
NGHTMRE has particularly immersed himself in producing hip-hop and electronic collaborations. He has produced tracks with big name rappers like Gunna, Yung Pinch, Tory Lanez, A$AP Ferg, Lil’ Jon, and more. NGHTMRE is showing off his mastery of multiple soundscapes, and blurring the lines between genres.
With yet another hit under his belt, NGHTMRE enlisted the lyricism and talent of Smokepurpp for their latest release, “MOSH”. Underlining the track is a club worthy, hard-hitting instrumental that perfectly compliments Smokepurpp’s lyrical ability. The track is perfect for the club, a pool-side party, starting a mosh at a festival, or getting you hyped at the gym.
“MOSH” is yet another anthemic track that showcases NGHTMRE‘s ability to successfully dip into multiple facets of the music industry. Hip hop, R&B, and electronic music have similar underground origins, and more and more genre-blending tracks have been produced in recent years. The genres have a lot in common and pair beautifully when done right. We’ve seen this with Flume and Vince Staples’ “Smoke and Retribution”, “Undo” by RL Grime, Jeremih, and Tory Lanez, “Praise” by Tchami and Gunna, and more.
The LA-based producer will continue to pave the way for multidisciplinary artists across the industry, hopefully opening more avenues for more genre-blending tracks such as “MOSH”. The track, released on August 27, is a perfect end of summer banger. The track will surely open up the pits at the many upcoming festivals NGHTMRE is playing, including Nocturnal Wonderland, Lost Lands, Starbase, EDC, and more.
Listen below to NGHTMRE‘s new heavy-hitting hip-hop track, “MOSH”, featuring Smokepurpp out now via Ultra Records.
