LA Duo Epikker Release Electrifying Remix For iskwē’s “Nobody Knows” – [Listen]

The newly-formed duo were immidately captivated by iskwē’s original track and had to deliver their own rendition

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, the rising duo Epikker consists of music technologist, engineer, and producer Henry Strange and multi-instrumentalist and producer Suniel Fox. Each of their backgrounds offer something unique to the project as they start to build out their intriguing discography. 

Most recently, the duo decided to take on “Nobody Knows” from the Canadian solo act iskwē. Delivering a groovy electro-house feel to the track, Epikker establishes their studio prowess in this latest offering. Maintaining the framework of the original, the duo offers a new spin to the track that will leave listeners heading straight to the dancefloor.

Epikker commented on the remix, “We first heard iskwē’s ‘Nobody Knows’ when she dropped by our studio several years ago. We were quite honestly blasted out of our seats. Her delivery was both raw and delicate. Her songwriting was chock-full of incredibly meaningful lyrics that you just don’t hear anymore. We believe that iskwē is a powerful advocate for women, and we were honored to remix her song. Our hope in doing this remix is to bring more awareness to the plight of native women everywhere.”

Each subsequent release from Epikker showcases their undeniable talent and eclectic electro house sound. With funk and disco sensibilities sprinkled throughout their tracks, Epikker’s rich and complex productions continue to expand their fanbase. Their signature sound lends a cinematic-type feel that completely engulfs the listener for an epic sonic journey.

With a knack for sound design and impressive background in music, it’s safe to say Epikker is a duo to watch for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.
