GRiZ Brings The Vibes With Latest Studio Album: Rainbow Brain – [Review]

Earlier this week, multi-instrumentalist artist, GRiZ, wowed fans with his latest 23-track LP titled Rainbow Brain

The lengthy release is a testament to the producer’s consistency and uncompromising vision. At a runtime of 56 minutes, the album is best enjoyed as a continuous mix.

Rainbow Brain brings GRiZ’s signature blend of feel-good vibes and wonky bass. Additionally, the DJ complements his tunes with an exciting mix of familiar faces and new collaborators.

Lyrically-skilled MC ProbCause makes his highly-awaited return alongside expressive vocalist, Chrishira Perrier. The duo feature on the album’s title track — an energetic and vocal tour de force.

In terms of newcomers, this fresh release features a variety of multi-genre talents. GRiZ recruited: groovy indie-electronic duo Cherub, space bass maestro Jantsen, and jazz-infused electronic outfit Big Gigantic.

The transcendental journey of an album is accompanied by a 55-minute audiovisual experience, “Rainbow Brain The Movie.” The captivating live performance serves as an album showcase, and a preview of the forthcoming tour.

GRiZ’s live experience commences on July 30th in Wilmington, NC. The widely-acclaimed “GRiZMAS” event is a mecca for fans of the talented artist and associated acts.

While we recommend listening to the groundbreaking album in its entirety, there are a few notable tracks that we feel belong on every good vibes playlist.

For fans of easy-going and laid-back tunes we advise vibing out to Another World and Feel It All. Both tunes encompass the slower, wonky sounds GRiZ excels at producing. Lastly, we think bassheads will thoroughly enjoy Burn Up The Floor and Tie-Dye Sky.
