The triple-platinum songwriter and producer returns to the release radar with another fiery addition to his discography. “Rather Be With You” features the unparalleled vocal talent of fellow Aussies, Crooked Colours. The single effortlessly blends the catchy and raspy vocals with Hayden James’ signature house sound. Additionally, the track features breathtaking abstract cover art from Australian artist, Jack Vanzet.

“Rather Be With You” serves a sexy follow-up to James’ smash-hit collaborative single, “Foolproof”, with Gorgon City and Nat Dunn. As the producer quickly ignites a hot streak for 2021, he shares a recent post on his Instagram that he is currently working on his second studio album. His debut studio album, “Between Us”, has received high praise across the globe and has amassed hundreds of millions of streams across platforms.

Hayden James shared some insight on the track, “It was epic to have worked with Phil from Crooked Colours. His tone is unique and to be able to bring his vibe into my world made for a great match. ‘Rather Be With You’ is a heavier, more energetic song that explodes at moments but also continues to chug along with a strong bass / percussive groove. I’m really pumped to release this record and hopefully play it out very soon!”
