Music Meditation App MEYA Announces Jamie Jones & Lee Burridge As Collaborators – [Read]

MEDITATION MOTIVATION FEATURING INFAMOUS DISK JOCKEYS

The meditation and mindfulness app MEYA has announced its most recent and exciting partnership with DJs Jamie Jones and Lee Burridge. As codified by the collaboration, both Jones and Burridge will put forth exclusive tracks and meditation remixes as installments in their Music Mind Journey series, which uses music as a conduit for meditation and mental health awareness. The music itself is going to be a hybrid mix of electronic, thoughtful, psychoacoustics, and and meditative sound therapy.

When sharing his thoughts about MEYA, Jones had a myriad of insights. “What I like about MEYA,” commented jones, “… is that I’ve always found the different frequencies that are used to record music very interesting. I came across 432 a few years before I discovered the MEYA app. I was really intrigued to find out whether your body did feel differently listening to music tuned to this frequency.”

Jones went on to further say, “I noticed I only had to meditate for half as long to get the same feeling. I felt that the combination of mediation and the sounds available made it much easier and more effective in a shorter period of time. I was gaining the same benefits in half the amount of meditation time. In my opinion, it definitely feels like you get more out of it without having to be as advanced or meditate for as long.”

Raffaele Ricci, the founder of MEYA, shared his thoughts on collaborating with Jones and Burridge with, “We are very excited to have Lee and Jamie on board, sharing the same vision to create electronic music to help more people with their mental and spiritual wellbeing.” He extrapolated with, “Our aim is to make meditation as easy and enjoyable as listening to a song and extend ‘beyond meditation’ by sharing practices and insights to help unleash the inner power that we all have inside.

Ricci closed his sentiments with, “Our mission is to help our users achieve an empowered and awakened mindset, equipping them with the tools to transform any life challenge into an opportunity.” With 15,000 plus users, 200 curated mixes, and 100 guided meditation classes, MEYA is expounding upon the capabilities, breath, and of all that is electronic music.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
