SKRILLEX, NOISIA, JOSH PAN, AND DYLAN BRADY DROP NEW EXPLORATIVE SINGLE – [LISTEN]
INDUSTRY LEGEND AND POWERHOUSE COHORTS DROP ANOTHER CAPTIVATING TUNE
EDM legend and fun-sized hype man Skrillex teamed up with Noisia, Josh Pan, and Dylan Brady to release a track that pushes the boundaries of the house, dubstep, and techno genres. The track, titled “Supersonic (My Existence),” which features haunting vocals by Josh Pan, which weave in and out of etherial destructive drops, is refreshing and unique. The vocals add an unexpected dynamic to the single, engineered by Skrillex, the Dutch producer-trio Noisia, and 100 gecs’ Dylan Brady.

“Supersonic (My Existence)” is Skrillex’s third release of 2021, and perhaps the most exuberantly received by fellow musicians and artists. Major players such as Tchami and Ghastly spoke highly of the track, commenting on Skrillex’s Instagram post with flames and praise. With regards to Skrillex’s drops from earlier this year, every drop was unique, thoughtful, and eye-catching. The house collab “Butterflies,” featuring Four Tet and Starrah, was the first track Skrillex dropped in 2021, followed shortly by “Too Bizarre,” featuring Swae Lee and Siiickbrain.
Although each drop from 2021 has been righteous in its own right, this latest one is something special. Skrillex, who’s now 33 and has been in the game for at least a decade, never ceases to push the envelope. From dubstep’s “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites,” to the fun and whimsical Jack U, the edgy Boyz Noize, and everything in between, Skrillex is always switching it up, never sitting still.
His early music was an exploration of violence, with the traumatic, yet cheeky and sometimes comical, collisions of bass. Jack U was just a flat-out banger of a duo, a classic that the music community dearly misses (and would love to see rebooted). Boyz Noize was a bizarre, unusual mix of techno and dubstep, and this latest track was nothing short of explorative, fresh, and thought-provoking.
