BUKU DROPS HYPNOTIC HEATER “RIGHT HERE” ON WAKAAN – [LISTEN]

Celebrated bass producer Buku returns to Liquid Stranger‘s Wakaan with “Right Here”, the lead single from his forthcoming EP.

Hailing from Pittsburgh, Buku has become defined by his innovative style and warped sound design. He quickly rose to fame after releasing his debut EP, ‘Janky’ in 2013, and has graced many stages with his fresh take on wobbly bass.

“Right Here” follows Buku’s three-track ‘Scorched Earth’ EP which received massive support from his fanbase. This otherworldly tune leads in with a spine-chilling pulse, preparing listeners for the sonic journey ahead. Featuring relentless drops and booming kick drums, the track pays homage to Buku’s experimental bass roots. 

“Within this track, I draw inspiration from various flavors of dance music. From thunderous techno kick drums in the build-up, to a main melody akin to old school Pendulum, I reached into my past musical influences to create this track.”

The talented artist has a degree in Music Technology and a stellar discography under his belt. He’s released on imprints including Spinnin’ Records, OWSLA’s NEST HQ, UKF’s Pilot Records, Mad Decent, and more. Buku made his Wakaan debut in August 2020 with “What You See”, and he’s been a frequenter of the label ever since.
