ZHU DROPS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED THIRD STUDIO ALBUM ‘DREAMLAND 2021’ -[LISTEN]

‘Dreamland 2021’ is yet another masterpiece by the godly vocalist, producer, DJ, and musician, ZHU.

Well, what did y’all expect? If you’re not familiar with Steven Zhu, or more commonly known by his stage name ZHU, do yourself a favor and bask in his beautiful discography. His third studio album delivers yet another masterfully crafted, no-skip, tastemaker project.

Preceding the album, ZHU dropped a few singles from his upcoming ‘Dreamland 2021’, all of which encapsulate the sonic feel of the body of work perfectly. The first single released was “Only”, featuring R&B singer Tinashe, which has the divine sexy energy we love from ZHU endlessly.

In addition to ‘Only’, ZHU also dropped his well received leading single, ‘Sky Is Crying’, featuring Yuna, in late March. ‘Sky Is Crying’ has already amassed a blazing 3.2 million streams worldwide since it’s release barely more than a month ago. ‘Sky Is Crying’ is a brooding, deeply emotional track about heartbreak, and paints a somber reality elevated by ZHU and Yuna’s powerful vocals and elite production.

On Wednesday, April 28, two days before the album release, ZHU also dropped the final leading single from the album, ‘Yours’, featuring UK alternative pop artist Arctic Lake. The two take turns exchanging chilling vocals about love in the moment versus love that lasts, all tied together by ZHU‘s irresistible, versatile basslines and keyboard mastery.

The album was made entirely at home during quarantine, but ZHU imagined the album as the theme for the world moving forward out of the pandemic. ZHU was quoted saying ,”DREAMLAND 2021 is about looking forward and creating a version of the future we want to exist in.” The album has a distinctly cinematic feel to it, that will help propel you into the upcoming summer.

ZHU will celebrate the release of his third studio album with a 6 night stand, DREAMROCKS, at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado from May 3rd-11th. ZHU will have a different guest every night, in order from Manic Focus, Marvel Years, Kill Paris, partywithray, PUNJAHBAE, and OG Nixin ending the stand.

DREAMLAND 2021 is the suave summer album we needed as we come out of quarantine. ZHU, jack of all trades, has done it again.
