Sleepwoka releases new introspective track “All I Hoped For”, marking the talent’s first song of 2021.
London-based Ukrainian talent Sleepwoka returns to the release radar with his first sonic offering of the new year, “All I Hoped For”. The latest original production to come from the creative force directly follows “Together We Are“, his previously-released single from last year. Out now via Violent Octopus, “All I Hoped For” is now available to listen to across streaming platforms.
A propulsive beat immediately kicks off the tune and is followed by contemplative production elements that set the tone for the rest of the track to follow. Synths are introduced into the sonic space, alongside Sleepwoka’s melancholic lyricism. flawlessly executed, he delivers a heartfelt message throughout.
The melodious vocals continue, and effortlessly convey a true sense of wonder, audibly rife with a deep introspection that makes one think about life and its many facets. The synths maintain a lightheartedness, and harken back to an ’80s vibe that is maintained from start to finish.
Poignantly moving, the profound message the song boasts is extremely thought-provoking and fits in perfectly with the current times we are all experiencing. Feelings of isolation, not fitting in, and a yearning for something greater are all present throughout.
