EXRON PREMIERE: MARTIAL SIMON – “LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOY” – [LISTEN]

The abrasive halt to live events caused by the pandemic forced a lot of people to reconsider what they do for a living. For many, having to switch to an entirely new field was not what they wanted. Luckily for Martial Simon, he has been able to shift from booking artists and DJing to a similar area of work, producing. 

Simon’s newly released track, “Let’s Hear It For The Boy,” is a fresh take on the Footloose classic from 1984. Utilizing the upbeat lyrics as the driver for the song, Simon was able to make a summer jam that is ready for people to sing along to.

This track puts a smile on every listener’s face — transporting them to their favorite coastal area. The tropical synths and bouncy kick pattern allow for a party to commence at any moment, bringing an older sound back to the rising club scene. 

Considering this is only Simon’s second official release, it’s impressive to see the personal style that he has managed to develop in his music. His first track, “Kryptonite (I’m On It),” was a clear club banger that has a nice touch of his personality.

Simon’s addition of production to his resume was a smart decision, considering his past experiences. DJing and booking artists around the world, Simon has been immersed in the scene and has a good idea of what makes a song successful.
