TORSADES TRIO LAUNCHES PROJECT WITH EXCITING DEBUT SINGLE “RUNAWAY” – [READ]
LA-based melodic bass trio, TORSADES, recently made their grand arrival with a 3-minute bass ballad. “Runaway” marks their first-ever release, setting the tone and kicking things off in style.
The hard-hitting tune has something to offer for fans of all styles of electronic music. Bright synthesizers, spirited vocals, and beefy drums comprise the energetic tune. The rising stars are already making waves and drawing comparisons to other talents including Flume, Illenium and 3LAU.
Their debut track showcases a variety of heavy trap elements and hints of drum ‘n’ bass, making for an upbeat banger. TORSADES brings a fresh perspective and rhythm that stands out above the rest.
The name TORSADES is derived from the French saying, ‘torsades des pointes,’ which means to twist around the point. The name is very fitting for a group whose music features many surprising elements and turns.
The unique group of artists includes producers: Eazy, Haiki and Samm. Classically-trained Haiki and Samm studied music production together at Icon Collective, where they earned the “Best EP of Summer 2020” nomination.
“It’s kind of like a big orchestration, all of us can kind of do our roles but we lean toward certain things,” says Eazy. “Me and Samm lead the direction of the song a lot of the time. Also mixing we do a lot of, and Haiki adds a lot of toplines and melody. Haiki is also good at connecting to people, he knows a lot of vocalists”.
The three officially formed TORSADES at a party in early 2020, before the pandemic locked the world down. Each member brings an essential element to the project, none more important than the other. Eazy and Haiki provide the vocals, while Samm engineers the song structure.
The end result is a memorable listening experience and catchy melody that you can’t get out of your head. TORSADES are on the come up, keep an eye on them as they begin to take over playlists and stages worldwide.
