ELECTRIC FOREST ANNOUNCES AUGUST DATE FOR 2021 EDITION- [READ]

Electric Forest has confirmed via Instagram post they are proceeding as planned for to be determined dates in August.

The Insomniac produced event is hopeful to return this summer, and has stated via Instagram post that if it does return, it will be in August. Their post talks about the restrictions, vaccine rollouts, and other guidelines that are changing by the minute. We all know how much of a whirlwind life has been since March 2020, and live music coming back is no different.

According to current CDC guidelines, large gatherings are recommended to be avoided especially when social distancing cannot be maintained between members of different households. In addition, the Michigan government’s website states that outdoor gatherings are only allowed to 300 persons or less at a non-residential venue. As it stands now, Electric Forest would not be able to be held, but vaccinations are happening every day and guidelines are changing rapidly, so August could be realistic (cross your fingers)!

Electric Forest was first put on by Insomniac in 2011 in Rothbury, Michigan, and has since grown into one of the elite electronic music festivals in North America. Electric Forest 2019 attracted upwards of 45,000 dedicated electronic music fans, and will continue to trend upward. The lineup is always stacked top to bottom, with breathtaking stage setups, art installations, lights, and a sense of love and excitement in the air.

Previous headliners include giants such as Odesza, Kygo, Bassnectar, Zeds Dead, Galantis, Rüfüs Du Sol, ZHU, GRiZ, and more. Other heavy hitters include Alison Wonderland, BTSM, Ganja White Night, NGHTMRE and SLANDER: GUD VIBRATIONS, Seven Lions, Malaa, and many, many more.

While we are all hopeful for the true return of live music, festivals and concerts this summer, it’s still unclear what the future will look like. There are many lineups being announced and tickets being sold to various festivals and shows such as Ubbi Dubbi, Imagine, Elements, Electric Forest, HARD Summer, and more.

All we can do to secure the future of live music for this summer is continue to mask up, get vaccinated as soon as possible, and continue to social distance. Electric Forest this summer will certainly be one of the hardest hitting festivals of the year, if it continues as planned. Until then, mask up y’all!
