KAYTRANADA SCOLDS FANS FOR TOUR CANCELLATION COMPLAINTS – [READ]

Grammy winning DJ and producer Kaytranada claps back at upset fans for BUBBA Tour cancellation.

Recent Grammy winning artist Kaytranada has announced that he will be cancelling all dates for his BUBBA Tour after several show postponements. The BUBBA Tour was a 19-stop tour across the US spanning from coast to coast for his sophomore album BUBBA.

In a recent tweet he explains that the cancellation is due to the obvious reason of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, cooped up fans weren’t shy to express their complaints over the internet.

Just last week the Haitian-Canadian DJ and producer made history by being the first Black artist to win a Grammy for ‘Best Dance/Electronic Album’ for his album BUBBA. He also won another Grammy for ‘Best Dance Recording’ for his popular track, “10%” featuring Kali Uchis.

With this recent recognition, fans were quick to suggest he no longer needs to tour because of his new found fame. However, Kaytranada was quick with the clap back to set the record straight emphasizing that we are indeed still in a global pandemic.

Though you can’t blame fans for their disappointment as we have all been craving live events now more than ever. Feeling cheated out of their show, fans are hopeful for a tour after the pandemic, demanding a virtual tour instead, and questioning if he will be playing on upcoming festival lineups like Outside Lands and III Points.

Hopefully with the rise of vaccinations available we can quickly make our way back to normality and live shows. Until then, stay tuned for the latest updates and catch up on your favorite music from Kaytranada below.
