CONRANK DROPS HEAVY DUBSTEP HEATER “MIND STATE” VIA CIRCUS RECORDS – [LISTEN]
U.K. dubstep stalwart Conrank reveals “Mind State”, marking the renowned DJ/producer’s second release of 2021.
Conrank returns to the release radar with the highly-anticipated single “Mind State”, marking the creative force’s sophomore sonic offering of the new year. It directly follows his January-released hit “Hunter”, which was met with widespread acclaim.
The nearly four-minute endeavor immediately kicks off with an atmospherically brooding tone, audibly entrancing the listener with each passing second. Discordant noises, a heady vocal cut, and a rising tension are introduced into the sonic space, and are quickly followed by hefty bass and an infectiously palpable sense of urgency.

The high-octane ambiance begins to quell about halfway through, before re-introducing the buildup and eventual drop. A guitar riff adds a distinct heavy metal flair to the single, making it feel as if one is listening to a hybrid mashup of rock-n-roll and dubstep, a very unexpected combination that works perfectly here.
In all, the tune is a fun tour de force of sound that doesn’t ever let up. A stellar track for bass music fans to headbang to, this neck breaker of a release serves as yet another prime addition to Conrank’s back-catalog, which has been flourishing throughout the past year.
