NEW GOOGLE EXHIBIT DIVES INTO THE HISTORY OF ELECTRONIC MUSIC – [READ]

Google and Youtube introduce its new immersive exhibition, “Music, Makers & Machines” showcasing the history of electronic music and culture.

Electronic music continues to become more intertwined with mainstream media with each day. What most don’t know is that the history of electronic music can be observed over the last 126 years.

“Music, Makers & Machines” is the new exhibit brought to us by Google and Youtube taking viewers through the history of electronic music. This massive project has consulted with over 50 industry experts, festivals, labels and key players of the electronic music world in order to bring it to life.

The multimedia project is a combination of photography, video, 360 tours and augmented reality to create an immersive user experience. With the power of Google Street View, fans are able to observe the grounds of some of dance music’s most notable nightclubs and experiment with music making machines like the Roland CR-78 drum machine, the Akai S9000, and ARP Odyssey synthesizers at your fingertips.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
