DEADMAU5 SPILLS THE TRUTH ABOUT NFTS IN CANDID POST – [READ]

Since NFTs have recently exploded throughout the EDM community, deadmau5 unsurprising offers his cynical opinion while he continues to participate in the practice himself.

The mau5trap label boss is never shy to share his unpopular opinion with his fans (and haters). He recently took it to social media to ridicule the crypto community and their NFT (non-fungible token) dealings. Although some comments on the post are in agreeance, various fans called the artist “bitter” and “grumpy,” among other fun things.

For those new to the world of NFTs,find the best nft influencer marketing here as these pieces hold value due to their uniqueness. Each NFT token contains distinct data, meaning these pieces are not interchangeable with one another, giving them their non-fungible nature. Buyers typically receive complete commercial copyright to their pieces, and each item is considered a collectible that can be traded.

Numerous electronic artists have introduced NFTs to the blockchain, including Dillon Francis, Flume, and Steve Aoki, who made a record-breaking NFT sale for over $800k. Unsurprisingly, deadmau5 himself has recently released a collaboration with the artist OG SLICK on the Nifty Gateway. The ‘Slickmau5’ collection includes exclusive music by deadmau5 from his forthcoming new artist album.

“Faded”

Although “Faded” has already been sold out via silent auction, the second piece, “Remix,” currently has a bid of over $14k. The ‘Slickmau5’ collection is deadmau5’s fourth offering on the digital blockchain, with his first NFT collab alongside Sutu having sold for $52k on Superrare. Shortly after, his release on WAX garnered around $100k in a week, and its follow-up with Mad Dog Jones, the Hyperivison Open Edition, sold over $400k in 24 hours.

deadmau5 has never shown a fear of criticism and loves to tell his fans how it is. Some might call his move an obscure marketing tactic, but the numbers don’t lie.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
