SACHA ROBOTTI AND MIKEY LION DROP NEW SINGLE VIA DESERT HEARTS – [LISTEN]

MUSIC PRODUCTION DUO RELEASES TOE-TAPPING TECHNO HOUSE SINGLE

For those that can’t decide what they like more – techno or house, house or techno – this most recent release by Mikey Lion and Sacha Robotti is the reason for the season. This single is a precursory release off of Mikey’s coming album, “For The Love, today: Do Or Die,” which is again a collaboration with LA’s favorite sloth-man Sacha Robotti. The album will be released soon, to be announced, via Desert Hearts.

Mikey’s record label, Desert Hearts, was launched nearly a decade ago, almost immediately post a life-changing DMT trip whereupon Mikey discovered his life’s purpose – to spread love and community via artistic pursuits, using Desert Hearts as a conduit for that very dream. The record label has become a growing brand and symbol of the underground rave scene, in addition to an international tour ensemble and successful production house.

But with greater success comes greater challenges, and thus, the covid plague. With the annual music festival “Desert Hearts” canceled last April, what was anticipated to be a year of triumph proved perilous and disheartening. With no DMT in sight to inspire an existential epiphany, Mikey dug deep to galvanize his inner purpose, which ultimately became further developing artistry, even in times such as these.

Mikey fostered new developments within Desert Hearts, guiding its virtual transition with the launching of a TV station on Twitch, which thus allowed him to reach whole new nooks and crannies, novel stretches of topography, and therein spread “House Techno Love.” Although different than the energy of in person events, the power of connectivity and technology in art became an affirmation of purpose, and a powerful one at that.
