BIG GIGANTIC REVEALS A SOCIALLY DISTANCED TOUR – [READ]

Big Gigantic are back in the game with an open-air Covid-safe tour beginning May, 2021.

The ultimate duo Big Gigantic announced on March 3 that they are having a socially distanced tour presented by GMP Live that will consist of drive-in, open-air or pod venues to ensure COVID-19 health and safety regulations while still feeding fans needs for live electronic music.

Starting on May 5, Big G will perform at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Florida, for the first time since their last show on Dec. 31, 2020. Each concert will be presented with mandatory COVID-19 safety protocols. Their show on May 6 at the North Beach Bandshell is an open-air venue, and capacity will be reduced to 25% to ensure social distancing measures. All seats will be purchased as pods of 2, 4, or 6 tickets, and fans must stay in their assigned pod at all times (other than to use the bathroom). Masks will be required at all times. Food and beverages will be purchased online and delivered to your seat.

Since the release of their latest album, “Free Your Mind” in early 2020, the Colorado-based saxophonist/producer, Dominic Lalli, and drummer, Jeremy Salken, also known as Big Gigantic, has spent most of the year hitting new milestones over a decade into their career, which began in 2008. ‘Your EDM’ described the album as “a beautiful melodic soundscape with lush melodies,” and ‘This Song Is Sick’ described it as “a truly unique 13-track experience.” Their live performance of “Friends” with Ashe at Red Rocks was on NPR Music Live Sessions’ “Song of the Day.” We also saw Big G deliver a mix on BBC Radio 1 for Diplo and Friends while receiving extensive editorial support across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

Big Gigantic’s latest release, a remix of “Parachute” by Petite Biscuit, was released to YouTube on Feb. 19, 2021, and already has received over 114,380 views. The remix adds a melodic, uplifting instrumental beat at the beginning, which is periodically heard throughout the song, creating an addictive melody followed by a lower instrumental bass. Along with this, Big G adds in a saxophone bit between the chorus, creating a danceable beat that Big G is infamous for.
