Couple and dynamic duo Giolì & Assia have mastered the art of cross-genre by crafting a form of underground electronic-pop that is unlike any other. Hailing from Italy, these creators express their talents through music production, mastery of many instruments, singing, songwriting, and through their own label Diesis Records. With an eclectic blend of techno, pop, indie, and house, their sound is always fresh and endlessly evolving. Giolì & Assia are celebrating the release of their debut EP, Moon Faces, out now on Ultra Records, featuring five original singles each with its own massive contribution. Their #DiesisLive sessions embody the beauty and symmetry in natural wonder and music, and the last was shot atop an active volcano at the Aeolian Islands in Sicily. We recently had an opportunity to speak to these talents about embracing femininity in the music scene, entwining their DJ career and relationship, and the excitement over their new Moon Faces EP.
