EPTIC DROPS FIERY DUBSTEP TUNE “SHADOW PEOPLE” ON MONSTERCAT – [LISTEN]

Legendary dubstep producer Eptic has returned to Monstercat with his head-splitting new single, “Shadow People.”

This monstrous release follows his recent track “Stop Pretending,” which served as a reminder of the artist’s original sound looking back at his bedroom producer days. It also marked the first single Eptic has dropped in almost a year, allowing him to build momentum for a successful 2021.

Eptic’s latest offering, “Shadow People,” is a prime example of his relentless production style in the studio. The track leads in with subtle vocals and a seemingly harmless woodwind instrument. However, it’s not long before the eerie, shadowy noise transforms into a hard-hitting, bass-laden rhythm.

Touching on his signature, old-school dubstep sound, Eptic delivers an unmatched level of energy with “Shadow People.” This track undoubtedly belongs on massive speakers and in front of a crowd, and we are definitely looking forward to hearing it once it’s safe to bring live music back.

In addition to this single, Eptic continues to give fans a glimpse into his colorful imagination with self-produced videos and animations of his character Computron. The artist recently released a promo video for “Shadow People” disguised as a trailer for a horror film. This video gained serious traction on Twitter and acted as the perfect teaser for the mayhem that was yet to come.

Eptic’s discography includes a number of hits, including “SouthSide”, his massively successful collaboration with DJ Snake. We are thrilled to see him back in the studio and hoping these releases will become a trend, especially since touring has been put on hold. For now, fans can enjoy “Shadow People” and try not to get too spooked!

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
