Liquid Stranger Recruits A Stacked Roster For Remix Duties on “Psychonaut” – [Listen]

A year following the release of his renowned “ASCENSION” EP, label-head Liquid Stranger reveals eight mesmerizing remixes for “Psychonaut” on Wakaan

Dubstep don Liquid Stranger is no stranger to the forefront of the bass music scene with his hard-hitting releases and powerhouse Wakaan imprint. His venerated catalogue and uncanny ability to sign rising talent have earned the Swedish producer tastemaker status in the realm of dubstep and bass.

Liquid Stranger’s ‘ASCENSION’ EP marked his only release during 2020 but the EP still heavily resonates with listeners nearly a year later. Finally returning to the release radar, Liquid Stranger offers eight new remixes of “Psychonaut” from a variety of talented producers including 12th Planet, Blanke, Lick, Mersiv, Luzcid, AstroLizard, Krischvn and Hydraulix.

12th Planet kicks off the remix pack with a no-holds-barred offering that compels the listener to break their neck throughout the entire duration. In true 12th Planet fashion, the commanding bassline and dubstep-forward remix take the original to a whole new level.

Next up is rising producer AstroLizard lending some wobbles to “Psychonaut”. Marking his first official release on Wakaan, the up-and-coming talent leaves much to be desired from his rendition. The remix pack quickly shifts gears as Blanke’s remix takes the listener on a vigorous sonic ride.

Lending their own blossoming signature sounds, Hydraulix, Krischvn, and Luzcid maintain the high intensity of the pack in their remixes. Each unique in its own way, these producers capitalize on various bass and dubstep instrumentals to flip the original.

Lastly, the standout remixes on the pack came from Lick and Mersiv. These fast-rising producers effortlessly weave “Psychonaut” into their own style while creating a heavy-hitting experience for the listener.
