A MATCH MADE IN TECHNO HEAVEN: CHARLOTTE DE WITTE AND ENRICO SANGUILIANO – [READ]

From vacations, to b2b performances, and finally, to an engagement, Drumcode mainstays Charlotte de Witte and Encrio Sanguiliano are as cute as can be.

Charlotte and Enrico have been together for a little over a year now, with things definitely heating up during quarantine. The two went public numerous times during lockdown, even performing multiple b2b livestream sets that drove techno fans crazy. Their combined energy on the decks is unmatched, and anyone could’ve guessed the couple was in it for the long run.

As one of the most successful female producers in the game, Charlotte de Witte impressively earned the No.1 spot in Beatport’s Alternative Top 100 DJs 2020. The Belgian techno superstar became the first female artist to win a DJ Mag Top 100 DJs polls since the early 90s. She has headlined countless festivals and even secured a slot in Tomorrowland’s 2020 New Year’s Eve livestream.

Enrico has been dominating the industry as well. The Italian icon gained international recognition with his sought-after remix of DJ Boris’s “Can You Hear Me” in 2015. His continued success led him to be named Beatport’s No.1 best-selling techno artist of 2016, 2017, and 2018.

In the fall, the couple attended Enrico’s Covid-safe, sold-out show in Germany. Not long after, the lovebirds shared a romantic vacation under the Capri sky.

This time, Enrico and Charlotte are in a new type of lockdown—one that will be bound by the holy matrimony of techno. The happy couple shared the news of their engagement just last week, and we couldn’t be any more excited for what the future will bring them.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
