Not only is Moore Kismet a producer, but they are a screenwriter, visual artist, and voice actor. Moore is currently working on an animated TV series called Stargazers created and developed with their friends. The premise of the show is about eight warriors fighting crime in an intergalactic system of planets who protect the citizens of their world while uncovering their true identities.

The passion for this show stems from Moore’s desire to have more representation of LGBTQ+ people in media. Stargazers is created to be intentionally raw including subjects about mental health and gender identity. Moore is nonbinary (they/them) and with a majority LGBTQ+ cast, they are crushing the clichéd stereotypes roles portrayed on the big screen.

Moore’s desire to be authentic and create from the heart transcends from their TV series to their music. Their journey into the EDM world first started by listening to old trance and progressive house from artists like Above & Beyond and Calvin Harris. At the young age of 8, Moore started learning how to produce from scratch and was only 14 when playing their first show at Asteria Arts & Music Festival.

It’s of no surprise that Moore would naturally find his footing in music with a composer/producer for a dad and a singer for a mom. In Moore’s latest EP called Revenge of the Unicorns, Moore created the track, “Flair” featuring her vocals.

The Revenge of the Unicorns (ROTU) EP dropped in August of 2020 and was their second release on the Never Say Die label. It’s a chronological representation of the most significant moments in Moore’s life including their coming out story, the epiphany of self expression, and finding true love.

Character was Moore’s first album release that unfortunately garnered some harassment from homophobic, transphobic, and racist people. Though that didn’t stop Moore from coming back stronger than ever. In an interview, Moore commented that ROTU “…is essentially serving as a major ‘fuck you’ to anyone who has hurt me in the past.”

ImageMoore Kismet embodies the true epitome of originality and dedication. Despite facing challenges from being young, black, and nonbinary, Moore uses the negativity as fuel to create something amazing.

We can suspect that Moore Kismet’s career is about to take off and is backed with support from other major EDM artists like Subtronics. He lists Moore as one of his “favorite producers innovating the living shit out of electronic music.”

Fans can look forward to more music including the first single off their forthcoming album called, “RUMOR” dropping on February 12. Get catch up on more of Moore Kismet’s music below.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
