EKALI TAKES HIS FIRST VACATION SINCE EXPLOSIVE BREAK UP WITH SAM BLACKY – [READ]
Once EDM’s most loveable couple, Ekali and Sam Blacky experienced a very emotional and public breakup toward the end of last year, and it looks like Ekali may finally be getting back to normalcy as he takes his first vacation since the fiasco.
Due to endless social media posts narrating the engaged couple’s entire break up, fans of both know that these two artists have been through a lot of heartbreak. Sam Blacky’s social media posts have been indicative of positive recovery, and now Ekali may be headed in the same direction. In a recent post to Twitter, the artist shared a video of a winter wonderland vacation paradise that he calls “home.”

The Twitter drama began last October when Sam Blacky bravely spoke out about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her seemingly-happy relationship with Ekali. Fans were shocked by her statements, but many chose to stand by Sam and her disturbing claims. Of course, the story got muddled when Ekali refuted her allegations and released his own official statement to Twitter.
A joint statement from the ex-couple was finally released in November, apologizing for involving the public and hoping to clear the air so everyone could amicably move on. Fast forward to nearly three months later, the two seem to be leading healthy, separate lives as they heal from the wounds of the relationship. Ekali has a long history of mental health struggles that he’s been open about in the past, but his latest social media posts have been pointing to signs of growth.

Ekali has had a successful career driven by talent, hard, work and, of course, his dedicated fan base. His floaty style and melodic soundscapes instantly bring a feel-good mood to any room or stage.
The young producer claims that his new music is laced with heavy emotions and heartbreak, which we can assume developed from his painful split with Sam. Sometimes it’s hard to see the silver lining, but it always shows itself eventually.
The new music is basically… the hard shit I’ve done, and then the songwriting / lyrical stuff I’ve done but on a completely new level. Infused with a lot of heartbreak. A lot of learning. I have a lot to say.
