OBEEHAVE AND TRANTIC AID BEES IN CRISIS WITH MASSIVE NEW SINGLE “KAWASAKI” – [LISTEN]
Up-and-coming producer OBEEHAVE joins forces with Trantic and WildPack to produce an ambitious, multi-genre song in support of bee conservation.
The sizzling, 4-minute single takes listeners on a swift trip through various musical styles including dark trap, rap, and experimental bass. What starts off as a song reminiscent of the golden era of SoundCloud rap, erupts into a barrage of heavy trap beats that keep the energy thumping from start to finish.
This release marks OBEEHAVE’s first of the year and second overall, following his debut EP, “Slumgum,” from November of last year. Each subsequent release has shown OBEEHAVE’s keen studio aptitude as he rises into the limelight.
This project’s origin story is one of hope and persistence against all odds. OBEEHAVE was formerly plagued with mental health issues that made day-t0-day life unbearable. He was later introduced to natural, plant-based treatments and psychedelics that turned his life around. Over time, micro-dosing these medications healed his brain synapses.
In addition to the life-altering health benefits, the artist also experienced a newfound appreciation for concerts and electronic dance music. With a new outlook on life, the quarantined creator released music for the first time and performed sets through Instagram Live.
OBEEHAVE is joined by LA-based producer Trantic and rapper Wildpack Shaun on “Kawaski”. The artists linked during quarantine to remotely collaborate on the heavy-hitting single. Trantic has performed among the American festival circuit at festivals like Electric Forest, Camp Bisco & more. Trantic and OBEEHAVE’s sound effortlessly complement each other throughout the track as Wildpack Shaun drives it home with his rap lines.
As the OBEEHAVE stage name suggests, the artist draws inspiration from one of nature’s unsung heroes — the bumblebee. Like the unassuming striped creature, the California-based artist exudes a devoted demeanor that can turn fierce if provoked.
As a tribute to his endangered spirit animal, Leslie pledges to donate earnings from his art to protect his winged friends. With a clear mind and faithful purpose, this unique artist will be one to watch for years to come.
