BEN BÖHMER & TINLICKER RELEASE NEW SINGLE “RUN AWAY” FEATURING FELIX RAPHAEL – [LISTEN]

Established German talent Ben Böhmer releases new single “Run Away” alongside Dutch DJ/production pair Tinlicker & Berlin-based Felix Raphael.

Ben Böhmer returns to the release radar with “Run Away”, his first sonic offering of 2021. The established German creative force is joined this time around alongside esteemed Dutch duo Tinlicker, with featured vocals from Berlin’s Felix Raphael. Out now on Anjunadeep, “Run Away” is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.

The entrancing original production starts with contemplatively brooding soundscapes, quickly followed up with the atmospherically driving vocal cut courtesy of Raphael. The magnificently hard-hitting four-on-the-floor beat kicks in shortly after, introducing a palpably raw intensity to the track with ease. At its core, it stands alone as a groundbreaking techno masterpiece, in addition to serving as a noteworthy recent collaboration between some of the genre’s best tastemakers at the moment.

Felix Raphael comments on the track, “Lyrically, ‘Run Away’ is a shout out to our current situation full of difficulties, where our beloved world of music is one of the industries that are suffering the most, for a long time now almost forgetting the normality of the past.”

He continues, “The track stands out for the fact that we could use a helping hand “running from the fall“ and some hope that we get back to “the stars we’ve known“ very soon. Nevertheless, we, the people of music, are “running away“ together, hand in hand.”

The latest to come from Ben Böhmer directly follows his mid-December released rework of Worakls and Eivor’s “Red Dressed”, in addition to Tinlicker’s original production “Tell Me” featuring Hero Baldwin, released the same month. It also serves as a follow-up to Felix Raphael’s hit “Won’t Miss” with Yannek Maunz, released earlier in the year.
