NOIZU DROPS “SUMMER 91”, FEATURING AN EXCITING VOCAL EDIT – [LISTEN]

NOIZU releases highly-anticipated track “Summer 91 (Looking Back)”, the new vocal edit of his hit 2020 tune.

Widely known for dropping heaters only, Noizu’s sonic offering, “Summer 91 (Looking Back)”, is no different from any of the rest of his acclaimed hits. A certified four-on-the-floor rinser, the latest tune to come from the esteemed Los Angeles-based house maestro serves as a fresh new edit of his 2020 hit Techne-released track “Summer 91”, featuring thirty additional seconds of pure percussive bliss.

It also tacks on an extra vocal, anthemically soaring throughout the tune’s new three-minute runtime with a distinctly upbeat flair. “Summer 91 (Looking Back)” marks Noizu’s first release of 2021, and is out now via RCA Records, available to listen to across all streaming platforms.

The lively piano house opus immediately kicks off with a commanding vocal, quickly followed by an infectiously enticing rhythm and melodiously flowing beat. Both effortlessly carry the sprightly tune’s infectious high energy from start to finish, perfectly accompanied by the euphorically entrancing singing sprinkled throughout its entirety. “Summer 91 (Looking Back)” directly follows the DJ/producer’s remix of 220 KID & JC Stewart’s “Too Many Nights”, released in mid-December of last year via Universal Music. Also released on UMG, check out Exron’s piece on Zhu and 24kGoldn’s “I Admit It” from early last November!

Noizu comments on the track — “Last year during lockdown I released my biggest song to date, ‘Summer 91’, on my label Techne. I wanted to capture the nostalgic elements of 90s house but with a modern feel. We wrote the lyrics to try and capture how people in the dance community around the world were feeling at the time.”

In regard to the new release, Noizu additionally remarked, “Fast forward to today, although we are still getting through it, there’s hope on the horizon. I wasn’t able to play this song to a festival crowd last year, so we have a new version called Summer 91 (Looking Back) out on RCA Records. More vocals and a new mix, with an incredible remix package to follow!” Make sure to check out Exron’s article on Snakehips and Troyboi’s “Wavez”, also released via RCA Records!
