AU5 RELEASES FIRST TRACK OF 2021, “THE WAY TO INFINITY” – [LISTEN]
Seasoned dubstep producer, Au5 (Austin Collins), just released his first single of 2021: “The Way To Infinity,” via SLANDER‘s new Heaven Sent imprint.
The fresh track is a spiritual successor to the electronic music producer’s other projects in the way that it seamlessly meshes dubstep with other styles of music. Au5 has fused electronic music with jazz and other acoustic genres before, but this time he set his sights on blending dubstep and rock.
The end result is an uplifting and memorable song, led by trance-inspired vocals and guitar-emulating synthesizers. As someone widely-regarded for his advanced production knowledge, Au5 is one of the few artists who could do a musical crossover of this magnitude justice.
The East Coast-based producer started the Au5 project over 10 years ago, with the sole intention of sharing his music with the world. Multiple tours and 100+ releases later, the talented artist has cemented himself as one of dubstep’s most innovative and unique producers.
What makes the single even more special is the fact that it’s the second-ever release on SLANDER’s new solo label, Heaven Sent. What sets this imprint aside from their Gud Vibrations project with NGHTMRE is its emphasis on emotional and melodic music.
The dubstep duo founded the sound-house back in October, and teased its launch during the Virtual Vibes Music Festival stream. During their set, they debuted “The Way To Infinity” and other unreleased tracks that may come out later this year.
With all the innovation and envelope-pushing that producers brought to dubstep in 2020, it’s safe to assume that 2021 will just as monumental. As long as there are producers like Au5, willing to experiment and explore, dubstep will be in good hands.
