THE BPM FESTIVAL: COSTA RICA POSTPONES 2021 EDITION TO NEXT YEAR – [READ]

The BPM Festival postpones 2021 Costa Rican edition to next year and provides credit and refund options for ticket purchasers.

The BPM Festival has just announced that it will be postponing what would have been its sophomore edition on the Gold Coast. The new dates for the Tamarindo-based event will now be January 12th through the 18th of 2022, which moves the picturesque festival up by several months while also adding a few more dates for eager attendees to enjoy.

From the onset of the first phase one announcement, the event’s occurrence was wholly contingent upon the cooperative guidance of the Costa Rican government in terms of providing further information to BPM about restrictions during the slated original March dates.

Despite BPM’s thorough health plan and the Costa Rican government telling them they could have 100% capacity events in the country by March of 2021, these necessary restriction guidelines were unfortunately not provided in a timely manner to festival operators. In turn, they had to make the unfortunate decision to postpone.

Thankfully, The BPM Festival has provided step-by-step instructions for those who have purchased tickets to the 2021 Costa Rican edition to follow. Those looking to receive ‘credit’ may do so by rolling over their pass to the 2022 edition, thereby automatically increasing 5-day passes to 7-day passes, which simply means even more days of pure techno and house music goodness.

Another option that’s being presented for those who have purchased tickets is a refund. For those wishing to pursue this, a request must be made through xTixs via the platform’s customer service. The latest date to be able to guarantee a refund is Monday, January 25th, 2021.

The BPM Festival has also informed the general public that they are working as hard as they possibly can in order to keep the same lineup intact. Up until this recent announcement, only phase one of the lineup had been released with 30 artists and more slated to be announced. Top names include Nicole Moudaber, Skream, and Carl Craig, to name a few.  To read more on the initial dates via Exron, check out our date announcement article from last October.
