EPTIC MAKES HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED RETURN WITH SINGLE “STOP PRETENDING” – [LISTEN]

Today, Belgian dubstep don, Eptic, enticed bass-craving fans with his first release in 11 months — “Stop Pretending”

The three-minute banger features warbled synths the artist is known for, in addition to distorted vocals and a foreboding atmosphere. The artist’s unrivaled sampling and signature bass make for a track that resonates with both longtime fans and new listeners.

As someone who has been in the dubstep scene since 2011, Eptic evolved his sound multiple times in order to maintain his place as one of the best in the ever-changing genre. In the past, the artist experimented with other styles of bass music like midtempo and moombahton (in songs: “Violence” and “Let It Go”).

That being said, the producer did not compromise the musical qualities that defined, and continue to define the artist’s extensive discography. Every Eptic track is characterized by high energy, upbeat vocal chops, and whimsical soundscapes.

The “Overlord” experienced a milestone 2019, which marked the release of his ‘Flesh & Blood’ EP and prestigious live bookings at venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheater. The producer also collaborated with DJ Snake on “SouthSide,” a track that dominated festivals and yielded more than 18 million plays across major streaming services.

Even though the past year brought a halt to in-person events, 2020 was no different. The talented DJ earned livestream bookings for EDC, Tomorrowland and Rampage Festival. Eptic also used this time to channel his creative energy into visual design and music composition.

The artist recently teased a blurred image of a 15-track project, alluding to a larger release just over the horizon. “Stop Pretending” is a testament to the resilience of both Eptic’s distinct sound and work ethic.
