CANNA CLOSES OUT HALCYON’S EPIC YEAR WITH “EXTRAGALACTIC” EP
In a year of firsts for the dubstep scene, it’s fitting that Halcyon‘s debut year is finalized with a monumental, multi-genre EP — “Extragalactic.” The newest artist to grace the elite Las Vegas-based imprint is Canna, a young producer from the Netherlands.
This release is a testament to Canna’s production chops and mastery of a variety of electronic music sub-genres. The multi-layered, five-track EP boasts styles ranging from heavy riddim to hyper-pop, and the young artist delivers on all levels.
For fans of bright chords and uplifting melodies, we recommend tracks “Extragalactic” and “Celestia.” For those who crave speaker-shattering future-riddim and tear-out we recommend “Starfall” and “Jewels.”
Lastly, we want to give a special shoutout to “Unbound,” the 3-minute hyper-pop anthem. This ear worm of a tune features the producer’s very own lyrics and vocals.
“Extragalactic” is a lush, electronic music journey with something for everyone and then some.
