MONTREAL-BASED PRODUCER HOLOGRAMME REVEALS “GEIST IM GLAS” REMIX EP – [LISTEN]

Nearly over a year since the release of his debut studio album, Felicity, blossoming electronic act Hologramme ties a bow on his intriguing project with a collection of remixes for the project. Released on his own imprint Société Holographique de Montreal, the remix EP titled “Geist Im Glas” (Ghost in a Glass in German) features a variety of producers from across the world. Hologramme recruited tastemaker producers such as Fakear, Lunice, Moses Bélanger, Robert Robert, and Ouri to lend their own renditions to his captivating productions.

The concept behind ‘Geist Im Glas’ was to capture other artist’s interpretation of the essence of Felicity. By encouraging thoughtful collaboration and exchange between producers, Hologramme intended to forge new connections and slowly foster a community of like-minded musicians.

Each of the remixes offers a unique soundscape spanning across various electronic subgenres and creating an otherworldly feel for the listener. Although each artist on the remix EP adds their own signature style in their remix, each of the tracks fit together as one cohesive unit. The standout remixes from the EP include “Berlin” remix from Lunice and “Felicity” remix from Fakear. Lunice’s remix of “Berlin” effortlessly dabbles with breakbeat and ambient sensibilities creating a fascinating atmosphere for audiences. Legendary French producer Fakear’s remix of “Felicity” lends a euphoric and transcendental experience for the listener. His music needs no introduction, as his iconic Cercle set has amassed well over 5 million streams to date.

Serving as an epilogue to his debut studio album, Hologramme’s latest remix EP continues to highlight his innate production capabilities. Comprised of elements that transcend the constructs of defined genres, Hologramme has demonstrated the ability to fuse genre lines across deep house, downtempo, breakbeat, and ambient genres.
