INSOMNIAC EVENTS CREATES EAST COAST DIVISION TO STRENGTHEN DANCE MUSIC SCENE

Counteracting the widespread criticism in the electronic dance music community of the East Coast and its dwindling presence in the dance scene, Insomniac Events is formally launching an East Coast division appropriately named Insomniac East. To reestablish the East coast’s once-thriving EDM community, owner of Insomniac Events Pasquale Rotella has acquired iconic company Club Glow and the clubs Echostage and Soundcheck in Washington D.C. Rotella’s vision is to revive the community on the East coast and wave in the next generation of artists and dedicated fans.

Rotella and President/CEO  of Club Glow Pete Kalamoutsos claim the transfer of ownership was mutually agreed upon and both men who share similar visions to bolster the dance music culture on the East coast. After more than 20 years of contributing to the scene by promoting DJs and providing venues for collaboration and community, Kalamoutsos graciously hands the reigns over to Rotella, stating “Pasquale and I were cut from the same cloth, and our visions align when it comes to dance music. I couldn’t imagine a better opportunity to continue to grow Glow, Echostage and Soundcheck than with the team at Insomniac.” Rotella reciprocates the appreciation; “I couldn’t be happier to align our teams and continue raising the bar for live dance music experiences”.

While always a popular festival, the annual Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando event will now be rebranded as a premiere for Insomniac East. Festival dates have already been released despite the uncertainty of COVID-19. Even so, EDC Orlando has scheduled Ticker Field to host the event from November 12-14th, 2021. While the lineup has not been released yet, the EDC Orlando website lists the 2019 lineup for reference, implying at least some of the artists on the list will be returning. Among the list were huge names including deadmau5, DJ Snake, and Steve Aoki. Tickets will go on sale November 27th and we just have to hope conditions will improve so the show can go on.
