BREAKING: INCREDIBLE TALENT I_O HAS PASSED AWAY AT AGE 30

The EDM community is shocked and confused by the Twitter announcement posted by the official page for DJ i_o claiming the talented artist has passed away. The tweet began “On Monday, November 23^rd, the world lost a beautiful soul, Garrett Falls Lockhart, also known as i_o” and was followed by sentimental words celebrating i_o’s talent and career. The words were certainly touching, yet devastated fans are left without details surrounding his death.

After performing at Ultra Music Festival live in 2018, i_o was catapulted into the fast-track and signed to deadmau5’s label. With an original sound and daring ambition to push the boundaries of what techno music could be, there is no telling what this young talent was capable of accomplishing.

No details or cause of death has been released, yet a cryptic tweet from i_o just a week prior to the announcement of his death has rumors circulating. Posting a picture of himself performing in somewhat ominous lighting, the image’s caption read “do u ever question ur life?” While the tweet could easily be a promotional push for his recently released remix of “Castles in the Sky” in which the first line of lyrics is verbatim i_o’s tweet, some now speculate a culmination of the DJ suffering dark times. There is nothing to be done but wait for new information and send positive thoughts and prayers to those who are grieving.
