DJ Diplo has been served with a temporary restraining order following accusations of revenge porn and harassment. Exron Music reported on the formal complaint earlier this week. Read about it here.

The plaintiff’s story starts years ago, as she was 17 and allegedly having intimate relations with Diplo, then 36. After an alleged falling out between the two, the woman claims her tapes were released in order to humiliate her and serve a message to other young victims to remain silent. The woman claims she then began to be harassed by a private investigator hired by Diplo to further intimidate her, leading her to believe she had no other option than to take legal recourse and file charges against her alleged former lover. A judge for LA county granted the woman’s request for a temporary restraining order under the premises of sexual misconduct, and Diplo is no longer allowed to post any illicit photos anywhere and is ordered to remove any previously posted illicit content.

The accuser’s attorney Lisa Bloom claims her client is supported by at least 3 other women who have endured similar experiences in their interaction with Diplo. The respondent’s lawyer Bryan Freedman adamantly denies any illegal activity committed by his client. Freedman matches Bloom’s confidence and claims there is sufficient evidentiary support in his client’s defense and Diplo maintains he did not want anything to do with the complainant and names her as the sole harasser in this sordid situation. Freedman remains confident; “we are looking forward to presenting (the evidence) to the court.”
