BELMONT BOYS RELEASE NEW SINGLE “DE NADA” ON INSOMNIAC’S IN / ROTATION

Chicago-based duo Belmont Boys dropped their new single “De Nada” for the Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION imprint earlier this month, and the smooth Latin vocals and eclectic instrumental accompaniment interacts seamlessly with the deep bass line. Featuring wood blocks, shakers, and other Latin inspired instruments to create a sexy atmosphere, the easy-going track is the perfect way to slow it down during the stressful circumstances we are all experiencing in 2020. Check it out below!

Far from newcomers in the industry, the Belmont Boys each had individual careers using the monikers plumpy and Tres Mortimer. Between the two, plumpy and Tres Mortimer have a list of collaborations and performances spanning several musical genres with artists such as Lil Yachty, X Ambassadors, and The Chainsmokers. The pair had both always wanted to collaborate, yet building their individual careers first was important to create a foundation for Belmont Boys to be successful; “We knew Belmont Boys would not be possible until we matured to this stage.”

With both artists have firmly established themselves in the industry, the stage for a collaboration between the Eastern European born and Chicago raised childhood friends plumy and Tres Mortimer was set and the Belmont Boys hit the ground running. Their first collaborative track “BAMBU” was included in one of Diplo’s sets during Burning Man in 2018 and Diplo subsequently signed the pair to his label Mad Decent. Gaining recognition so quickly from an international superstar solidified the promising trajectory for Belmont Boys and encouraged continued collaborations such as the recently released “De Nada”.

The track “De Nada” reflects the different styles of the two artists, as it mixes EDM subgenres of tech, deep house and trap hop to produce the sultry track. We can expect to see more of a Spanish influence in the upcoming releases from Belmont Boys; when asked what fans could expect, the duo cryptically answered “fajitas”.
