REZZ SELF-RELEASES CHILLING NEW SINGLE “ORBIT” – [LISTEN]

Rezz is back with a brand new track just in time for spooky season. Following her latest radio hit, “Someone Else” and Beyond The Senses comes her self-released title “Orbit”. A broad demonstration of her versatility as a creator, this single features eerie instrumentals and contrasting soothing and driving melodies, perfect mood setter.

“Orbit” marks Rezz’s first single in over six months. Showing off her signature mid-tempo style, the track exists in a realm of darkness but strategically peaks through as tension builds. “Orbit” explores an extraterrestrial soundscape that is both ominous and exciting. Listeners are moved in and out of a shadowy void as a subtle bass line supports the entire track. The entire song is certainly unsettling, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from our favorite Canadian DJ and producer.

In her relatively young career, the artist has accumulated tens of millions of streams, played the world’s most sought-after festivals, and competed for headlining spots with superstars like Diplo, Marshmello and Zedd. Rezz’s unique and original style represents a sharp balance between bass-heavy and minimal tech compositions.

There’s no doubt that Rezz is a leading force for women in the industry. Impressively premiering at Toronto International Film Festival in September 2020, Rezz recently starred in Underplayed, a documentary examining the underrepresentation of women in electronic dance music.

Rezz is most popular for the out of body experiences she’s been known to foster at her life shows. Her hypnotic sounds paired with trippy visuals are easily able to transport audiences beyond their own senses. “Orbit” is a track that would undoubtedly command any crowd.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
