MIKE TYSON DROPS AN EDM SONG NAMED AFTER HIMSELF – [LISTEN]
One of the coolest things about the EDM culture is how inclusive it is. One day you can be a heavyweight boxing champion, and the next you can be an EDM superstar. Take for example, Mike Tyson who is currently training for a long-awaited fight with Roy Jones Jr. He also just dropped a brand new electronic tune alongside LA-based artist group Tiki Lau.
Appropriately titled “Mike Tyson” the boxer integrates thoughtful lyrics such as “I’m Mike Tyson” as well as “I’ve been the wildest, I’ve been the craziest, I’ve been the outrageous, the vicious, the most destructive fighter. I’m Mike Tyson. An international warlord that’ll strip your heart out… and guess what? I’m Mike Tyson!”
Although brought on as a feature, Tyson really marks his territory with this single. Although the release was not accompanied with any context, TMZ already has a theory. The publication claims there have been rumors the boxer will utilize the track as his walk-out song before his battle with Roy Jones Jr. that has been pushed back to late November.
What’s the best part about this banger? It comes with an animated music video. The video features a cartoon version of the boxer battling it out with a muscular shark.
Although this news might warrant a double take, the trap-infused single actually goes hard. The lyric that reads, “Lend me your ears or I will eat them all!” is where the real kicker happens.
Tyson has not entered the boxing ring for a professional match in 15 years. The special event will take place on November 28 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California and will be streamed via pay-per-view.
