Kicking off with the title track, “The Making of a Paracosm” sets the tone for the emotional voyage that is to follow. It neatly flows into “Play Pretend”, in which Kasbo has enlisted Ourchives to integrate a powerful vocal piece.

The Making of a Paracosm is a very important piece to me. It unfathomed so many different aspects of my life. I made this album during one of the best years of my life, but the following year under which I made it was one of the worst,” says Kasbo. “I feel like this makes it capture such a wide array of emotions, from euphoria to sadness. From joy to anger. This is the most full and direct creative representation of me and I’m so happy to finally be able to put it out into the world.”

The Making of a Paracosm marks the Gothenburg-born artist’s most complete records to date. “Lune” with Vancouver Sleep Clinic, “Staying In Love” with Swedish vocalist Nea, the raw “Skogsrå”, and the cosmic vibes of “Show You” all hint at an indie-electronic crossover.

“Shut The World” is a soulful collaboration with singer Frida Sundemo. And if that name sounds familiar, that’s because she worked with Kasbo for their beloved track “Over You” that was released just 2 years ago. Other collaborations include “For Evigt” with Florian Rosetti and “Talk Slow” with Noomi.

Rounded off with “Snö” featuring Frieja The Dragon’s angelic voice, Kasbo incorporates an ethereal piano melody in a marriage of classic instrumentation and electronica. Listening to the entire LP through promises an otherworldly experience that is nothing short of a musical masterpiece.

Kasbo’s debut album, Places We Don’t Know dropped in 2018, garnered over 200 million streams to date. The Making of a Paracosm represents a new era in the young artist’s fruitful career.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
