SULLIVAN KING DROPS PUNK SINGLE “SOMEONE ELSE” ON MONSTERCAT
Late last week, Sullivan King, known for leading the metal-electronic space, dropped an angsty crossover single and we’re loving it. “Someone Else,” released via the Vancouver imprint Monstercat, sounds like a combination of Machine Gun Kelly’s punk and Sullivan King’s signature synth-bass drops. It features the steady thrums of an electric guitar, rock-band-esque drum beats, and two heavy drops. The lyrics chant, “Don’t you lie to me, say, ‘It’s all okay,’ when it feels like I’m drowning. Well, I hate to say goodbye but it’s time to go. All I need is, all I need is, all I need is someone else,” making this the perfect anti-love anthem.
Although the industry came to a standstill during the throws of coronavirus, Sullivan King has kept busy, producing new music, streaming, and performing in shows such as Couch Lands, Dog Fest, Pavement Rave, Up & Up Fest, and more to come. His latest single is the perfect combination of punk rock and electronic music and leaves hungry for more! Take a look at the process behind his epic screams below 😉
