“Who Do You Believe” is a neo-psychedelic, synth-pop track that features an irresistible, hypnotic vocal piece. Sung in a Tame Impala-esque fashion, Big Wild is paving the way for the future of the alternative genre. Also blending elements of pop and future bass, Big Wild shows off his stylistic versatility with rapid synths and smooth guitar riffs.

The electrifying track is also paired with a daring music video, which further captures the hysteria of false narratives and misinformation spreading through the media. Director of the video, Erin Galey notes, “The video asks us to consider who’s creating the narrative in today’s world, and whether we can (or should) attempt to control one another’s experiences or thoughts. I hope this piece inspires viewers towards open-minded discussions with their community, and maybe even a new community outside their comfort zone.”

Big Wild envisions a future separate from blind faith, but one where individual critical thinking is celebrated. “So much news is coloured with opinion and spin that it’s difficult to find the truth,” Big Wild says. “Not only that, it’s often more comfortable for us to find an opinion that lines up with what we already tend towards in order to validate our view of the world. The convenience of blind faith, and therefore lack of critical thought, puts the responsibility of what’s true on the power of opinionated and amplified voices.”

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
