ZHU REVEALS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SINGLE “RISKY BUSINESS” ALONG WITH EERIE VIDEO – [WATCH]

ZHU is ironically recognized for his mysterious image and tantalizing sounds. The GRAMMY-nominated producer already has a few singles under his belt this year, including collabs with Bob Moses, Tinashe, and Kito. His brand new track, “Risky Business” has been played out in various live sets, instantly becoming a fan favorite.

The wait is finally over—“Risky Business” is out today on Astralwerks, along with an equally unsettling music video. Staying true to his signature feel-good sound, ZHU dives into elements of deep house with bold synths and dynamic kick drums. The LA-based artist certainly flexes his dark and sultry side, as he morphs a traditional saxophone melodies with electronic beats.

The “Risky Business” music video is presented as secret footage through the window of a bedroom. In that room, we see strangers, lovers, or friends—it’s hard to tell at times. What we do know is that there is a bizarre behavioral experiment going on, which is exemplified when people wearing hazmat suits appear. If you want to decipher ZHU’s latest and most mystifying project, watch the video below.

Accompanying the song and video is the latest ZHU merch drop. Strange enough, it’s a Risky Mystery Evidence Bag, which could contain a number of items, from a wrench to a faux fur coat. The site warns: high risk, high reward.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
