It has been over 6 grueling months since COVID-19 has come to stay cancelling events far and wide. However, starting on October 1st Facebook has announced a new set of rules that will restrict musicians from producing “videos on our Products to create a music listening experience.”

Facebook, who also owns Instagram, explained that they want the primary use of their technology to be used to connect family and friends to one another, not to connect musicians to their fans. Additionally, Facebook threatens to remove videos and possible account deletion for those who fail to comply.
