SPANISH TECHNO GOD DOSEM REVEALS SINGLE “MEGACITIES” FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM – [LISTEN]

Just head of Dosem’s Dream Decoder album is his brand new club-inspired single, “Megacities”. This marks the second single from the forthcoming album, following the hard hitter, “Tower”. Set for release on September 25th via Anjunabeats, the album will feature 15 tracks in total.

“Megacities” is a driving dance anthem and may even be recognized from Dosem’s sets. It leads in with sounds of a filtered riff that are quickly accompanied by deep, menacing drums. The track builds momentum as its rhythm grows stronger and sharper. Hearing it on speakers is one thing, but a crowd on a dance floor wouldn’t stand a chance against its relentless beat.

No stranger to Anjunadeep, the Spanish DJ and producer has also release on Toolroom, John Digweed’s Bedrock, and his own imprint Houstrike. Some of his most celebrated performances were at Boiler Room in Catalonia, Sonar, Ultra Miami, FNGRS CRSSD, Tomorrowland, Printworks London, and ADE.

Each track on Dream Decoder will represent atmospheric, driving house and techno. With carefully crafted textures and progressions, fans can expect unwavering energy levels from every direction. Dosem composed the album during his long stays in Tokyo, and actually has quite a captivating story behind it.

“I have always found the world of dreams a fascinating subject. Not only have they had a strong impact in my life, but they have also served as a powerful creative tool in my career. During these most recent years, I dedicated myself to keeping a small journal to remember them and to use it as inspiration for my music. At first, they seemed like abstract stories with no connection between them, but little by little, I began to find a code that linked everything…”

“In recent years, I became interested in the practice of lucid dreaming. This technique took on particular relevance during my various stays in Tokyo – a place that has always transmitted to me that beautiful metaphor between dreams and reality. I came up with the idea of making an audiovisual tribute to this wonderful city. So I started taking photos of its streets and its architecture, which at some point, served also as a gateway for those dream experiences. In this way, each song represents a dream, an album made of stories between this world and other worlds. A journey that tries to decode the dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious through music.”

Dream Decoder will represent Dosem’s fourth studio album. For now, indulge in his fierce new single “Megacities” below.
