TINLICKER + HELSLOOT MAKE ASTRALWERKS DEBUT WITH “PARADISE” – [LISTEN]

Dance duo Tinlicker has finally made their Astralwerks debut alongside fellow Dutch DJ Helsloot. The brand new single titled “Paradise” features melancholic R&B vocalist Saro. The track marks the first look into Tinlicker’s Paradise EP, which is due for release on September 11th.

“Paradise” has a dreamy soundscape with heavy lyrics that turn to love as an escape from the world’s troubles. Boisterous synths paired with awe-inspiring rhythms create a majestic soundscape that’s hard to ignore. As this song explores even the darkest of times, it represents hope as light finally peeks through. It’s a strong metaphor that highlights one of the most influential emotions that we as humans feel—love.

This wouldn’t be the first time these artists have linked up. In 2017, Tinlicker and Helsloot dropped “Because You Move Me” on Armada and still resonates with fans today. It’s become clear that Tinlicker is traversing a particularly imaginative phase of their career. Just last year, the duo released a house and techno album titled This Is Not Our Universe on Anjunabeats. It was followed by a remix album in March that featured reworks from Dosem, Deeparture, and Grum, among others.

The release of “Paradise” is accompanied by a trippy visualizer. In it, the song’s mysterious cover art comes to life with stars that mimic fireflies. Both the music and images are fully in sync as this trance-like atmosphere comes to life. Watch the “Paradise” visualizer below.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
